The employees of the private lab are not only roaming around fearlessly in the wards of the Super Specialty Block (SSB) of BHU Hospital, but are also going to the beds of the patients and taking their blood samples. Such incidents are being seen every day. Employees were seen roaming here even on Thursday.
Recently, some lab employees were caught from BHU hospital, after which some restrictions were imposed but now these people have started coming to the super specialty. OPD of gastrology, endocrinology, nephrology, urology, surgical oncology and other departments run on the ground floor of BHU SSB.
Ask for test papers from family members
According to the relatives of the patient admitted in SSB ward, employees of some private labs around Lanka, Rashminagar, Trauma Center have started coming more often to take blood samples. They ask for the prescription of the test written by the doctor, after this they also cite delay in the report if the test is done in BHU and faster report if the test is done by them.
Case-1
Ghazipur resident AK Srivastava, a relative of a patient admitted in the Neurology ward on the first floor, says that a young man in the ward asked for a slip and said that he would take a blood sample for testing. When there was doubt that the young man was not a BHU employee, he was asked his name and department, but he quickly ran away.
Case-2
On Wednesday afternoon, two young men entered the nephrology ward on the third floor with a vial of blood samples in their hands. When the security guard posted at the gate asked them, they first said that they were hospital employees. When the guard started questioning them, they left without saying anything. When asked, the guard said that many people from outside labs were roaming around.
